WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

On November 19th the Ashland City Council voted NO on public works option 1 to pipe the 2 mile stretch of canal! The voting went at follows: Jensen – yes. Graham – yes. Rosenthal – yes. Akins – no. Seffinger – no. Slattery – no. That made it 3-3 and Mayor Stromberg broke the tie by voting – no. It was a great moment for all of us who did so many different big and little things to defeat this unnecessary and misguided project.

However – reporting seems to indicate that public works is planning to regroup and re-present an oversized Ashland canal replacement project. We will stay vigilant and keep everyone on the mailing list apprised of any new developments. So…
