Wagner Glade Trail

Wagner Glade Trail is a 5 mile out-and-back trail starting 11 miles up the Ashland Loop fireroad above the swimming hole.

Driving

– A 5-minute drive from Ashland Plaza heads up Winburn Way along Lithia Park. That quickly joins Granite Street and continues along Lithia Park. When the road becomes gravel, get ready for adventure!… and the swimming hole on your left. Continue straight past the swimming hole and park to your left. End of adventure.

Parking

– There are dozens of spots in the dirt above the swimming hole and below the fairy ponds.

The Trail

-Start your way uphill. You are on the Ashland Loop fireroad for 11 miles. At about mile 3 you might see Reeder Reservoir to the left, and at mile 4 you will hit the Horn Gap Road intersection. Continue to the right for 7 miles along Ashland Loop – past Hit Road, past Mystical, past Rickety, past Horn Gap Trail, past Potlicker – and you will reach the bottom of Wagner Glade Trail.
Head up on Wagner Glade and the first mile or so is shaded forest. Then, some official “Glades” begin to pop up. After 2 1/2 miles (maybe even more) the trail meets Wagner Butte Trail. 2 miles to the right is Wagner Butte. 3 miles straight ahead is the Wagner Butte parking area. 3 miles to your left is the top of Split Rock.
